Uploading Data on Green Globe
Green Globe is GainForest's platform for visualizing environmental data. When you upload field data, it appears on an interactive map alongside your Bumicert, making it easy for funders and supporters to see your work.
Data you upload to Green Globe can count as evidence layers for your Bumicert. You are also free to link data from other public platforms as part of your evidence.
How to Access Green Globe
By default, you will land on the marketplace when you open the platform. To switch to the upload platform:

What You Can Upload
Green Globe currently supports three types of field data:
1. Tree Data
Record the location of individual trees, whether planted or naturally occurring. Each tree is shown as a point on the map.
You are the data owner. GainForest is the publisher. Read more about tree data.
Your tree data follows international biodiversity standards and will be published on the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), a global open-access database.
2. Audio Recordings
Upload sound recordings from your project site with GPS coordinates. These help identify which species are present and support assessments of ecosystem health.
More details coming soon.
3. Drone Imagery
Coming soon.
Your Data Belongs to You
GainForest helps verify and publish your data but does not own what you collect. You stay in control.
All data uploaded to Green Globe is public. Make sure your community knows their data and location information will be visible to everyone on the platform before you upload.
