Creating a Bumicert
Here are the steps to create a Bumicert:
Set Up Your Organization Page
Your organization page is your public profile on the platform. Funders and supporters will see this when they discover your Bumicerts.
Fill in your organization's name, description, location, and any relevant links. This page will be linked to every Bumicert you create, so take the time to make it clear and complete.

Fill In Your Bumicert Details
A Bumicert is a record of work that has already happened. Fill in the details to tell the story of your project.
Cover image

Title
The name of your Bumicert
Date range
When the work took place
Domain
The type of environmental work you did. Check Is Bumicerts Right for You? for the minimum and maximum scale per domain.
Impact story
Describe what you did and what changed
Short description
A one or two sentence summary

The people and organizations involved
Site boundary
Mark the location where your work happened. This is required. You can draw directly on the map or upload a GeoJSON file if you already have your boundary in that format.
Upload Your Evidence
Add the evidence that proves your work happened. See the Evidence page for a full guide on what to upload and how.
Connect a Wallet
Once your Bumicert is created, connect a crypto wallet to receive funding from supporters.
We recommend Rabby Wallet. It is free and easy to set up.
Download Rabby at rabby.io
Create your wallet and save your recovery phrase somewhere safe
Go to your Bumicert and link your wallet address
Your wallet is your full responsibility. Crypto funds sent to your wallet cannot be recovered if something goes wrong. Keep your wallet and recovery phrase safe. Do not share them with anyone. GainForest cannot access your wallet, reverse transactions, or help you recover lost funds.
